Locair Passenger Service
Locair, Inc. operates under an FAA Approved Part 135 On-Demand/Air Taxi Certificate. We have a Fairchild
Metroliner in a 9 seat passenger/combi configuration, two in a 19 seat configuration, and an all cargo
Metro II. The 9 seat configuration affords our passengers the flexibility of bringing large items on board;
such as golf clubs, pets, coolers, ALL their fishing gear, skis, and even the kitchen sink! That aircraft
can accomodate up to 2,800 pounds of luggage or cargo. Whether you need to ship 4,400 pounds of marine parts,
18 of your closet friends, or a television production crew AND all their gear, only Locair can provide
you with EVERY possible configuration to ensure a one-stop total air travel solution. All passenger
flights operate with a crew of two professionally trained and friendly pilots.
Seats, Cargo, or Both!
Our program allows you to take advantage of our comfortable 9 & 19 seat,
all leather turbine powered turboprop Fairchild Metro III's the FASTEST planes to the Bahamas,
with the ability to carry ALL of your bags! (within reason). Our planes can carry some
of the largest loads to the Islands, our cargo door is over 50 inches wide and tall,
giving us the ability to fit almost ANYTHING inside, at fair prices.
Ft. Lauderdale to Abaco:
Starting November 19th, with 4 flights a week.
Fares as low as $139 plus taxes, each way.
Ft. Lauderdale to Stella Maris (Long Island):
Starting December 18th, with 2 flights a week.
Fares as low as $199 plus taxes, each way. No more stopping in Nassau!
St. Petersburg/Tampa to Abaco:
Starting December 18th with 6 flights a week.

THE LEGALESE: Seats must be paid within 24 hours of reservations being made. Fares are
nonrefundable, but changeable and transferrable for a $25 fee. Changes within 24 hours of departure are $80.
Customers are allowed 70 pounds of luggage per paid ticket in up to 3 bags; excess baggage is $1 per pound
with a minimum $15 charge. Flights are operated under the authority of Locair, Inc. All FLL flights depart
from Sheltair-Jet Center. PIE flights will leave from the Main Terminal. Flights are subject to change
without notice. Times change based on demand.
Your Baggage / Luggage
Unlike traveling on other airlines to the Bahamas, when you fly on Locair you will never
have to ask yourself, "Are my bags going to make it?" With our 19 seat aircraft configured
with only 9 comfortable leather seats, we have almost 17 feet of cargo space with a capability of
nearly 2,800 pounds. Customers are allowed 70 pounds
of luggage per customer; that's more than any other carrier flying to
the Islands. Excess baggage is only $1.00 USD per pound, with a minimum charge of $15. For large or
oversized items a linear charge may be applied as well.
With our capacity for additional cargo space and weight, we are able to carry golf cart parts, Fido
(in an FAA approved kennel), Garfield can come too (Cats must also be in an approved kennel), coolers
full of frozen meats (we have restrictions on dry ice, please call), marine parts and so much more!
Animals
Warm blooded pets are allowed on any Locair flight when accompanied by the passenger. Pets in cabin are
allowed as long as they fit in a small enclosed bag or kennel that can fit underneath the seat in front
of you. Animals may be checked in the pressurized cargo hold for a fee of $1.00 per pound in an FAA approved
leak-proof kennel. Wood crates are not accepted. Dogs over 75 pounds will not be accepted. Customers traveling
international require the appropriate paperwork including: an updated certificate of health, a supply of
water and food, and a limited liability release, as Locair is not responsible for death or injury to your pets.
