For a simple 1 hour flight, our useful payload is 4,400 pounds, which is triple, if not quadruple other charter operators (9 seats or less) can offer. Only Locair can carry 9 passengers, all of their bags, and their kitchen sinks! Our cargo capacity in our comfortable 9 leather seat configuration is 17 feet long and 3 feet wide, providing ample room for almost anything you need to carry with you to the Bahamas, whether it be sailing around the Abacos, sitting on the beaches of the Exumas, visiting the cliffs of Long Island, or soaking in the sun on Andros. We have a Fairchild Metroliner in a 9 seat passenger/combi configuration, two in a 19 seat configuration, and an all cargo Metro II. The 9 seat configuration affords our passengers the flexibility of bringing large items on board; such as golf clubs, pets, coolers, ALL their fishing gear, skis, and even the kitchen sink! That aircraft can accomodate up to 2,800 pounds of luggage or cargo. The Metro III is one of the fastest twin engine turboprops flying to the Bahamas, Abaco, Eleuthera, Andros, Long Island, San Salvador, Stella Maris, Congo Town, Freshwater Creek, Treasure Cay, Marsh Harbour, Rock Sound, Staniel Cay, Deadmans Cay, The Bight Harbour Island, & Governours Harbor. At this time, our charters can accomodate up to 9 passengers and cargo. We anticipate being able to charter 18 seat aircraft very soon! |
